Certification Mark
The certification mark is a logo that pictures B.K.S. Iyengar in Natarajasana. It was his wish that this Certification Mark is used by all certified teachers throughout the world as an international symbol of the highest standards of excellence in training and continuing education in the Iyengar method.
I am a member of České asociace Iyengar jógy praha.
I am a freelancer Iyengar yoga instructor.I teach yoga at various studios and corporate offices.I was born and brought up in North India.I completed my graduate degree in Science and a master's degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising, and I am a restaurateur, owning the Indian restaurant Masala Anděl and Masala IP Pavlova in Prague. I have done yoga since I was a child and have always enjoyed practicing yoga in my life. However, it was not until adulthood that I became acquainted with the Iyengar method of practice. This was introduced by the grace of God into my life, and it led me to work towards and obtaining certification as an Iyengar Instructor.
It was not as easy as I expected it to be; however, I learned every day something new and am still learning and enjoying the endless journey of discovery within me through the practice of yoga.
When I practiced yoga in childhood, I used to think that the practice of yoga was simply a good thing to do to keep your body strong and flexible. Since my training in the Iyengar yoga system, I have come to think of yoga in a much richer way. The Iyengar yoga method shows us in every pose how yoga is in fact meditation in action. It is a journey of discovery within you. Self-realization, as Guruji has said, is also the ultimate aim of yoga.
I personally feel with the practice of yoga that it makes a person very focused and calm. I believe that it creates an invisible kind of aura around you that enables you to face any kind of challenge in life with courage and confidence. I am grateful to Guruji B.K.S Iyengar, who developed the method of using props as a means of learning and advancing asana poses properly so that any person at any age can achieve precise alignment in poses when using the props. Unlike other styles of yoga, Iyengar yoga is taught only by accredited teachers after several years of thorough study and rigorous practice. As an Iyengar yoga teacher, I am fully insured and regularly improve my professional development.
